AAALLStar-Game!!

-Look for me behind the head of the guy in the blue dress shirt.

Last night I went to the MLS All-Star game with Ryan, Aaron, and Gee Coon...one of the most memorable events to date. Ryan got free tickets to the pregame and half-time concert so we were by the field for warmups..and we got free blue t-shirts that we were required to wear. When we were waiting for the band to come on I snuck over to where the players were walking up to the locker room and saw vennegoor of hesslink (his last name) walking up...so I said "vennegoor!!" and pulled up my blue shirt to reveal a orange holland shirt I wore specifically for him (he's from holland..and I loved to watch him when I lived there). He walked right over too me, shook my hand, and said "ghoot hoor" which means good man...so I responded "es ghoot" which means it is good. Then he jogged up to the locker room. At this point I got a blood rush because I didn't know what to do. After I got it back together (in a matter of seconds) I ran over and told Ryan and Aaron.

A bit before the first half ended Ryan aaron and I went the long way over to the stage and walked right by David Beckam...yes..you read that right...David Friggen Beckham...one of the most popular people in the world! (friggen is not his middle name) he was surrounded by cops....ryan got a sweet pic but me camara sucks...so I missed it. He walked around the field a little later when we were by the stage and we got to see him from 15 feet instead of five. He is as good looking in person as anywhere else...if not better. (thought I would throw that out there). Anywho, I got to see Academy play a bunch of songs...oh yeah and the best soccer players in America...as well as a phenominal European Club>>>Celtic FC.

WHAT A NIGHT!!!!

Here are some pics!!

Whitewater rafting through the Royal Gorge

Last weekend I went with Nate and Melissa to whitewater raft the Royal Gorge. We dicided on Arkansas river rafting tours...which turned out to be pretty dang good. The rapids were mostly class IV so it was pretty intense when we were going ovber rapids, but when there was not rapids it was pretty boring. We rafted 10-12 miles down the arkansas river and underneath the royal gorge bridge.

Overall I like whitewater rafting, but I really thought it was going to be a lot more intense...it was not as craZy as I expected.

I was not able to take any pics because my camara is not waterproof...and I did not want to pay 30 dollars for the pics they took of us.

-Royal Gorge bridge...23 dollars to get on.....common...I didn't go in.

Denver Art

This weekend I decided that I would stick around Denver and see some of the things that I could not get to during the week. Soo...Kris, Melissa, Nate, and I, went to the Denver Art Museum on Saturday. My Favorite exhibit was a temporary contemporary exhibit that had a bunch of crazy wierd/sick/beautiful work. Almost every painting or sculpture left an imprint on me in that exhibit however, I was not allowed to take pictures. Sorry.
Here are some pics of yesterday.

-Some things just don't change from Iowa to Colorado.

-Kris tries his hand from the other side.

-Really though...it was a nice cow...we wouldn't tip her.

Hands in the Sky

I have been noticing many hands in the sky lately. I should explain. The first one I saw when I was watching the sun go down in front of my place and a cloud looked like a hand that was reaching down as if to grab another hand and pull someone up. It had 4 fingers and a thumb...a genuine looking cloud hand.

The next I saw was next to an enormous cloud and looked like it was going against the enormous cloud. I forget what shape it was in, but I remember thinking it was rather interesting.

The last hand-in-the-sky I saw as I was coming into the hilly part of colorado from Iowa. It was pointing. It was a huge hand in the sky right above the road and a few miles right in front of me.

I don't know why I have been seeing hands in the sky...so I thought I would write about it.
